After two years of intensive research and development, it was time to take the Gyeon coating range to the next level. Thanks to technological advances within the polysilazane chemistry group, Gyeon has managed to almost double durability and significantly simplify the application process. The application and wipe-off window has been greatly extended thanks to the new formulas.

Moreover, all new EVO coatings no longer require a two-layer application — one layer is sufficient — and they can be applied outdoors; a garage is no longer mandatory. The key requirement is to keep the vehicle in a dry place for the next 12 hours and apply the product in the shade.

Q² Mohs EVO is Gyeon’s traditional silicone ceramic coating — essentially the original formula that made Gyeon known worldwide. It combines the benefits of modern silicone technology with extremely user-friendly application and use. With the new formula, the product remains easy to buff off for a full 5 minutes after application, making the coating process genuinely enjoyable.

Q² Mohs EVO is the only product that still allows you to build a thicker layer through multi-layer application to maximise durability. However, even a single layer of Q² Mohs EVO is enough for full protection: it provides chemical resistance across a pH range of 2 to 11 and ensures quick and easy vehicle cleaning.

Application Recommendations

1. The better the surface preparation, the better the result in gloss, durability and hydrophobic effect (as stated).
2. Wash and decontaminate using Q²M Foam, Q²M Tar, Q²M Iron, Q²M Clay.
3. Polish all painted surfaces to a high gloss using Q²M Polish and, if needed, Q² Primer.
4. Wash the vehicle with a strong degreaser, e.g., dishwashing liquid and hot water (as stated).
5. Remove all contamination, wax and oily polishing residues with Q²M Prep (IPA alone is not sufficient, as stated).
6. Shake the bottle and apply a few drops of Q² Mohs EVO onto the applicator.
7. Apply using cross-hatch motions until the layer is even and sufficiently wet, working on small sections.
8. After 10–30 seconds, remove residue with a fresh Q²M BaldWipe microfibre towel to achieve an even finish.
9. Optional: apply an additional layer after at least 1 hour to increase thickness and durability (not mandatory, as stated).
10. After 1 hour, apply Q²M Cure Spray as a finishing layer and wipe with Q²M SoftWipe to help protect against potential water spots.

After Application

Avoid contact with water for 24 hours and do not wash the vehicle with shampoo for 14 days during polymerisation (as stated).
